The Slovak team Flying Partners Slovakia (FPS) has announced the release of its latest scenery – LZIB M. R. Štefánik Bratislava Airport – for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. The scenery will be released on 1 November 2026 across all platforms.

Why we’re excited:

• LZIB is our hub and, after Prague, Amber’s second busiest airport – Amber pilots have taken off from there 1,666 times and landed there 1,549 times so far.
• The scenery is being developed by Slovak creators who have been producing airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator since 2020.

If you sped up your flight in the sim (sim rate) above 10,000 ft, pilot pay and aircraft costs are calculated after the PIREP is accepted as if you had flown at 1×. Logbook hours stay real.

⚠️ Sim rate rules – valid from 28 Oct 2026
• sim rate is allowed only above 10,000 ft (in the USA above 18,000 ft) – offline and on VATSIM / IVAO,
• VATSIM / IVAO: follow the network rules – in controlled airspace only with the controller's express permission, and back to 1× immediately when asked (VATSIM Code of Conduct, B9),
• VFR / low flights that stay below this altitude for the whole flight have no altitude limit,
• maximum 4×; acceleration below 10,000 ft (USA 18,000 ft) or faster than 4× is not compensated and the admin is notified.

Until now, pilot pay and aircraft costs per flight hour were calculated only from the time actually flown. Anyone who sped up a long flight in the sim got lower pay, and the flight distorted the airline's economy. Since 26 October 2026 the website compensates this automatically after the PIREP is accepted.

How it works:

• The website compares the sim clock with the real time from ACARS and recalculates pilot pay and costs as if you had flown at 1× – at most up to the planned flight time.
• Logbook hours stay real. Sim rate does not add flight hours or speed up your rank progression.
• A flight shorter than 25 % of the plan is not compensated.

Where you will see it:

• In the PIREP detail, a band above the Flight Review shows the real time and the time used for finances.
• The ⏩ icon next to the flight number: yellow = compensated, red = not compensated (below 10,000 ft or over the limit).
• The dashboard shows the table Sim rate – accelerated flights for the current month.

A monthly ranking of pilots based on landing quality has been added to the dashboard. Six criteria are assessed directly from ACARS data – each month anew.

The previous rankings on the dashboard for number of flights, flight time and landing rate have been replaced by this new landing assessment. It’s not just about who flies the most, but who lands the best.

What is assessed:

• K1 Landing force – most points for touchdown at around 200 fpm (25 per cent)
• K2 Touchdown point – 500–3,000 ft beyond the runway threshold (20 per cent)
• K3 Runway centreline – deviation of no more than 25 ft (15 per cent)
• K4 No bounce – the aircraft does not bounce after touchdown (15 per cent)
• K5 Final approach descent – maximum 1,000 fpm below 1,000 ft above ground level (15 per cent)
• K6 Speed stability – IAS variation not exceeding 20 kt below 1,000 ft (10 %)

All data is recorded automatically by ACARS; you don’t need to enter anything manually. You’ll be included in the rankings if you complete at least 3 flights in a month. Your overall score is the average of your flight scores (0–100), and the rankings reset every month.

On the dashboard, you’ll find the overall rankings, six leaderboards based on different criteria, and below them a ‘Rating Criteria’ button with a detailed explanation.
